A Garden in the Morvan 
Are they wild there? People try to naturalize them here, but we all know they are exotic. There happened to be an abandoned field of daffodils near my Pa’s home in Montara. It used to produce cut flower crops. They were the flowers that Diego Rivera painted. Weirdly, when a house was built there, the entire field was dug up and disposed of, almost as if someone was very allergic to them. That as a lot of daffodils to kill!

Indeed that can happen here, they grow wild in the woods and one time when we visited we found that half the wood had been cut and almost all the daffodils destroyed. Heartbreaking. They are indeed almost impossible to naturalise.
