When I said I loved lupins, oriental poppies and peonies I forgot to mention daylilies. The garden is full of them and, if I had to choose, I would say they are my favourites.
Below are the first ones. Stella d’oro flowers from June to September in my garden. The orange one is one that grows almost wild here and I have no idea of its name!
A Garden in the Morvan 
If I remember correctly, ‘Stella D’oro’ did not become popular until the late 1980s. I don’t know why it was not popular before that. I might still be ‘the’ standard for yellow daylily.
